Crystallina Nera East, Edmonton
Located in northeast Edmonton’s Lake District, Crystallina Nera East has only just begun development. The neighbourhood was formerly intended to be called Joviz but was renamed according to the Crystallina Nera East Neighbourhood Structure Plan (NSP) approved in 2013. The community is bounded on the west by Crystallina Nera, the north by Anthony Henday Drive, the east by 66 Street, and the south by the Schonsee neighbourhood.
Crystallina Nera East will include planned low- and medium-density housing arranged in proximity to a planned stormwater pond and natural green space, as well as access to the nearby Schonsee Wetland. A number of nearby elementary, junior high, and senior high schools are already available to future residents; however, additional land for school development is also included in the neighbourhood plan. The nearby Anthony Henday Drive, 66 Street, and 82 Street will provide future residents with access to the rest of Edmonton. Transit access is also planned.
