Our team is growing and we are super excited that Lori has joined us! A realtor for many years, Lori is hard-working, dedicated, honest and loyal. Compassion and understanding are always at the forefront of all dealings with her clients. Her attention to detail and thoroughness will help her find the perfect home for you and your family.

Meet Lori…

Why Real Estate? I have always loved houses. Seeing people’s homes, inside and out. It really is a window into who they are. I love seeing people’s different design ideas and how their home is a small expression of them. My husband would joke that I would search Realtor.ca for fun, so I guess it was only natural that my path eventually lead me to become a Realtor.

What is your favourite part of the job so far? Lots of things I love about real estate really. I love meeting people at different stages of their lives who are all taking their next steps, whether it is buying their 1st home, something bigger for growing families, empty nesters that are downsizing, properties for investments, you name it. It’s cool to meet someone, learn their story and help them move forward. And that look on their face when they finally find the perfect place is amazing. Nothing better as an agent when your client puts their trust and confidence in you, it is very rewarding.

What do you like to do for fun? Relax and spend time with my family! Sounds cheesy, but it’s true! I’m a mom of 2, not so little kids anymore, who have busy lives of their own now. Add that to my husband’s shift work schedule and it seems like someone is always on the go.  I spent many many years in the rink watching a ton of hockey that both my kids and husband played. Most of our travel throughout the years centered around that, which I will really miss now that minor hockey is over. We loved family camping trips, big family holiday gatherings, backyard fires & coffee dates with friends. I’m a pretty simple person, so even if it is just coffee on the deck or 5 min conversations before someone walks out the door. Life just always seemed so busy all the time, so when those rare moments appear, where we can all be together, it doesn’t matter what we are doing, I cherish those moments and value the down time.

Why the Beech Woolger Team and not another one? Dustin and I actually met at the rink, so we already had the love of hockey in common. The more we chatted, the more it became apparent that we also had very similar mindsets on real estate and the level of service clients deserve. I loved the positive, fun dynamic attitude Dustin and Dave shared and how their goal was about supporting each other and the members of their team. So when the opportunity came, I knew it would be a great fit and am super excited to work alongside this team.

Favourite food? Oh boy, I don’t think I could pick just one! Anything I don’t have to cook, lol.  I think it depends on what we are doing but I am not super adventurous when it comes to food. My husband calls it boring, I say it’s just liking what I like. lol  I love a good BBQ! Mexican, Chinese & Vietnamese are all good too, but my go-to would most likely be a great chicken taco!

Favourite music? I honestly don’t have a favourite. In my family I NEVER get to pick the music when we are driving, as long as it isn’t rap or heavy metal, I just go with the flow.

Are you laid back or up tight? Depends who you ask I guess. lol I would say I am not really either. Not super up tight…I don’t think, and not super laid back. I like structure and plans, not a fly by the seat of my pants kinda girl, that’s just craziness.  I feel I pretty much go with the flow, adjusting as needed but if things start to get nuts then you will see me get a bit up tight. I think that’s part of what makes me a good Realtor. This industry things are constantly changing, every deal is a bit different. If you are too laid back you cannot keep control of things for your clients….too up tight and you interfere with the deal. You need a good middle balance and I think I have that.

If you couldn’t be a Realtor® what would you be? I’m not really sure. I worked in the insurance industry for 14+ years before getting into real estate. It definitely wouldn’t be an office job for sure, I love the freedom to my schedule that real estate brings, I couldn’t go back to 9-5 in an office. I think if I had to do it all over again, I would just choose to do this sooner. It really is the perfect career for me.
